Brecksville Taekwondo is an independently owned and operated business with ATA Martial Arts (American Taekwondo Association).

Classes are offered through the Brecksville Recreation center for all levels and ages. Classes are held in the Brecksville Human Services building, which is behind and connected to the Brecksville Recreation Center.

Tiny Tigers - ages 4 to 6

Karate for Kids - ages 7-13

Adult & Teens - ages 13+

Classes are taught in a "Block" style with 3 belts taught each session.  All belts in each grouping below are taught the same color belt form.  The forms for the session will be marked on the Belt form page.

Songahm Taekwondo

Songahm Taekwondo is the style of martial arts practiced at Brecksville Taekwondo. Songahm means "Pine Tree and Rock."

Did you know?

The Taekwondo uniform is called a Dobok.  

A White Dobok is required to be worn for testing and tournaments.  Permission is needed to wear a colored dobok during testing.

Doboks can be purchased through Mr. P.


Belt ranks

Tiny Tigers 

- left side is Recommended (plain camo print)

- right side is Decided (all belts have print)


Regular belts - all belts have center black stripe 

- no tip stripe is Recommended

- tip stripe is Decided

** A few students may have a belt with a gold stripe instead of black.  These students have already received the equal rank belt as a Tiny Tiger.
